HID Shipyard Successfully Delivers Two Multi-Purpose Vessel to the Maldives

20-11-2025

HID Shipyard is pleased to announce the successful arrival of two multi-purpose work boats at the project site in the Maldives for one of our valued clients.

The vessels feature an integrated design, enabling smooth and efficient transportation to the Maldives via container shipment. Upon arrival, only minimal on-site assembly of the main components was required before the dredgers were launched for commissioning. We are pleased to report that all systems are now fully operational and performing smoothly.

Shallow-water operations

With a length of 12.7 meters and a breadth of 4.4 meters, each workboat is powered by two Cummins engines, providing strong propulsion and excellent maneuverability. Purpose-built for versatility, these vessels are true all-rounders capable of supporting a wide range of dredging and marine construction activities in shallow inland waters.

Their capabilities include pushing and towing, buoy and anchor handling, fuel and cargo transport, and personnel transfer—making them indispensable support assets in demanding working environments.

The successful deployment of these vessels once again demonstrates HID Shipyard’s engineering strength, rapid mobilization capability, and dedication to meeting the operational needs of our international clients. We look forward to seeing these multi-purpose dredgers contribute to the ongoing development and marine infrastructure projects in the Maldives.
