One Multicat, Multiple Solutions for Efficient Dredging Support
A multicat plays a crucial supporting role in dredging operations, especially for cutter suction dredgers without a propulsion system. In the Global project, the HID-designed multicat assists the dredger with towing, anchoring, positioning, fuel supply, personnel transfer, and floating pipeline installation, ensuring smooth and continuous operations on site.

This customized vessel measures 16.5 m in length, 5.5 m in width, and 2.4 m in depth, with a sailing speed of 8–9 knots and a twin-propeller propulsion system that delivers excellent maneuverability. Built with CCS-certified marine steel and advanced robotic welding technology, the multicat offers strong structural stability and long-term durability for demanding offshore environments. Equipped with a 20-ton folding arm crane, it also supports efficient lifting and material handling.
By integrating multiple functions into one compact vessel, the HID multicat significantly improves operational efficiency while reducing equipment and labor costs, making it an ideal partner for cutter suction dredging projects.
